LAJFC Training Pitch Grant
Litherland Athletic JFC can finally announce that the club has been awarded a grant of £23,040 from the Liverpool County FA & The Football Foundation for the Maintenance and Renovation works of our Grass Pitches at South Sefton Sixth Form College.
The pitches have been the home of the majority of our teams training since last Summer and we are delighted to have been awarded this grant after months of meetings, paperwork, soil sampling, completing courses and everything else in between!
The grant will be spread across 6 years, with all monies spent towards the Maintenance of the pitches. Plans are already in place with a local grounds maintenance team and works has actually started today on improving the quality of the pitches, although it won’t happen over night but gradually improvements will be made – and with large renovation works in place for the Spring / Summer we are hopefully we will have one, if not the best Grass Training Facilities in the area for all our teams all year round in the near future.
The works will also allow the club to offer more training sessions times & days for our current & future teams! Would just like to say thank you to everybody involved from the Liverpool County FA (Amy Horne) the Football Foundation & most importantly parents, players & coaches for your patience over the last few months.
Roll on the tractors!
